Join us in celebrating one of our Church's most beloved and empowering devotionals as we pray the Stations of the Cross through the heart and spirit of Pope St. John Paul II who, on Good Friday, 1991, gave the Church an alternative sequences of "halting spots" to reflect more deeply on the Scriptural account of Christ's passion.
Not meant as a replacement for our beloved traditional fourteen Stations of the Cross, Pope John Paul II enriched our minds and hearts by presenting the faithful with a series of fourteen stations that are recorded in the four Gospels.
By way of a visual presentation, wherein each Station of the Cross will be illustrated by a traditional and contemporary image (artwork), we will take part in an ever ancient, ever new way of recognizing Christ's love for us all and how we might all live through human suffering yesterday, today and tomorrow, confident and heartened by Christ's life-giving spirit in us.
